I think it's extremely important to keep them burning, especially now with InterDigital maturing. As much as I like some of the features of ADVFN (AFN.L): Advanced Financial Networks,' sister site InvestorsHub (iHub), this site ranks in my mind right up there with The Motley Fool (TMF) as a full service financial messaging oriented forum, and unlike iHub or TMF this site is much more tech oriented, even if no longer exclusively tech specific. This board has fallen into disrepair even as the InterDigital (IDCC) board on TMF has taken root and begun to blossom -- and AtomicRoberts doesn't suit my taste at all. The Premier InterDigital (IDCC) board in Cyberspace is on iHub ... siliconinvestor.com ... and it's ably hosted and moderated by Jim Lurgio (JimLur) a former contributor here and to other Silicon Investor (SI) wireless boards, and many participants are very InterDigital knowledgeable. Despite that, I'm sure there are many SI participants that home off SI and enjoy the privileges of a paid subscription, or even the more advanced features available with a Premium Plus subscription, that have searched for an active SI InterDigital board, visited here, realized it's dead, and moved on. That shouldn't happen. There are some excellent posters here and some intelligent lurkers that converse by PM that simply don't roam elsewhere and don't visit iHub to post or do DD, even though it others free posting privileges just as this site does. << Maybe a few more will migrate to this site. >> I'd like to see that happen. At the very least a few of the regulars could volunteer to occasionally post significant InterDigital news here ... InterDigital press releases, significant SEC 8K filings that sometimes are made in lieu of a press release, Quarterly financial data, links to all 10-Q's and 10-K's with short excerpts of especially significant content, etc. ... Nothing terribly taxing and not general wireless stuff that's already plentiful on other boards here, although some might have time to engage in discussion should it ensue, and authoritatively answer InterDigital or IDCC specific questions if they're asked. This effort might not bear fruit overnight, but longer haul as InterDigital continues to grow I think it could. I think what I'll do later today after I finish watching Tiger's return to golf on TGC is submit a message to JimLur (and InterDigital board constituents) linking this post to you, and make a call for a volunteer or two. It should be noted that this board is unmoderated and the board's original founder, Bobby Yellin went inactive some 5 years ago, so that responsibility is open to am SI subscriber, should one wish to volunteer through SIDave.
