Petz , re. relative valuation of Intel and AMD...
If you take market capln. then Intel is 39x the value of AMD
on P/S valuation Intel is 3.3 x AMD .
I believe that what we are seeing with Intel is the start of a reappraisal in the valuation , from a monopoly to a company with lots of competition . Intel gave the game away when they hurredly dropped their chip prices even though AMD and Cyrix were not in a position to
produce enough to pressure Intel's prices . This smacks of the paranoia that Groves is always referring to , but in this case I believe in overreacting he sent a bad message to Wall st.
regards , Brian

everything to lose in the face of truth and reason. Please read on and be enlightened.

Who Really Moves the Market, Part 1

Joseph Nocera
Reporter Associate: Amy Kover

"Peck had just come back from a research
trip to Taiwan, where most of the world's motherboard
manufacturers reside. "I kept hearing that customers were coming to
Intel and saying, 'We'll be loyal, but you have to meet us halfway on
pricing.' " Then a Taiwanese source faxed him a list of Intel price
cuts. Peck relayed the news to his clients--and promptly
downgraded Intel to "neutral."

John,

Re: "In the case of the K6 there are 5 layers about half a cm square and
Each layer is contructed in several steps ... There are really several masks for each layer, but the combination
of all of them is refered to as "the mask." ..."

I am curious, John ... what are these five layers ... what materials ?? Can you tells us more about the steps ??
Please give us more of your technical process knowledge.

Make It So,
Yousef
