Reagan's top rate was 50%. Reagan is the right's perfect president.

The 50% rate sounds about right since lowering tax rates have only contributed to the horrific financial and economic situation we are in. The reliance on taxation to guide human behavior is simplistic and often wrong. Even if nonmortgage interest isn't deductible people still borrow until their eyes glaze over.

"No one quit working in the 90's because their tax rate went up a couple percentage points, and on one will now."

I did, I wasn't going to give my hard earn money to that rapist

I WOULD RATHER PAY A FEW MORE PERCENT THAN LIVE AGAIN THROUGH THE UNCERTAINTIES THAT WE HAVE NOW. EVEN SO I MAKE NOWHERE CLOSE TO $250 K . I FEEL THAT THE IMBALANCES DUE TO LACK OF DEMAND MIGHT HAVE BEEN EASILY CAUSED BY THE INCREASING CONCENTRATION OF WEALTH AND INCOME AT THE TOP AND THE INCREASED DEBT LEVELS AS PEOPLE TRIED TO MAINTAIN THEIR LIVING STANDARDS THAT WERE SINKING, EXCEPT FOR THE GREEDY PEOPLE ON TOP IN CAPS BECAUSE MY CAP LOCK IS STUCK SOMEHOW.
