Hawk - H2 without nuclear power is delusional. H2 with nuclear power has severe safety concerns.

I would concur.. I'm a firm believer, as you might recall, in Pebble Bed Reactors (or their equivalent) and believe that the foundation of our energy independence is a strong electrical generation capacity. And it needs to be baseline power that's reliable and available 24x7. But I'm not adverse to other baseline power generators like geo-thermal and ocean wave (in proper areas).

With that kind of electrical generation all kinds of options can open up for achieving energy independence. But I'm not so delusional as to believe that the resistance to nuclear power will be easily circumvented.
