After much angst I believe I have figured out what is so galling about the Obama budget proposal. The fact is that Obama is offering a welfare state for free to the vast majority of the county. The concept that only the +$250k earners will pay for this is ludicrous and I believe a complete lie. If this is to be done everyone should be asked to pay for it - asked openly. Obama is offering a welfare state for free to the vast majority of the population. Who would not want that? On the other hand who wold want it if they knew the real price in deficits and lost opportunity. Bob PS: I am not a +$250k earner.
