Yes we are fortunate to have hydro.

Virtually all of our power here is hydro based. We have one coal plant in the state but it will be shut down and one Nuclear plant built by WPPSS or WOOPS. If we had not built that nuke and the other 4 that were never finished our power would still be around 3 cents per KWhr. I'm on Seattle City Light and pay around 8.5 cents per KwHr.

If you were lucky to live in Chelan County in Eastern Washington you would only be paying about 2.29 cents per KwHr. That has got to be the cheapest power in the U.S.

I feel sorry for the folks in Hawaii. Virtually all of their power is generated from oil.
