Did you happen to catch the confrence call at Checkfree?

I was just wondering if you had....what you thought of it.....It sure seems to me that they are the bankers friend vs. uncle Billy Bob....who they don't seem to trust.

The thing which I thought was most interesting.....was that they were setting up to handle 1/3 of the US households.....I thought that was pretty bold.....however there was an analysts who asked the question....why just 1/3? Generally they impress me down there...and they analysts too....and the Banks....you pick it up in the tone of the conversation....I've never heard a negative from anybody.....company/analysts. It all is positive and upbeat....I vision as I listen in.......the cheshire cat. Those boys truely believe they have a better mouse trap.

This is certianly going to be an interesting 18 months as this entire show hits the road.....

As far as updating.......minor changes.....mostly in the Investment/Portfolio tab..
The remainder is pretty much the same......

The day is gonna come where you won't even buy an update....the bank or credit union will give it to you....Intuit will tweek/update as new tech is developed thru your regular downloading/uploading activity....like what CyberMedia is doing with their products (First Aid/Uninstaller/Oil Change). Oil Change is already an entirely subscription based software program....after you initially install it.

I see L/T there will be no need to get software updates....everything you need to stay current will become automatic and invisible to the end user.....the only thing they need to do is be connected.....and that's why I upgraded.....I wanted to be in on this......as they say in Checkfree-Land "Historic Shift".

>>>But, always, the name of the game with Checkfree was convenient bill payment.

But as their merchants told them....the biggest cost was in bill presentment...they solved that.....and the program is on permanent display at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C................that's where costs are saved BIG TIME for the Billers...just like E-mail vs Post....for you and me.

It's my bet....that all those lovely bills are gonna end up comming thru the Excite Network....right smack dab into....my Quicken Program....for push button payment and record keeping. BIG MONEY SAVER FOR BILLERS / TIME SAVER FOR CUSTOMERS.

Go back an look at some of their Press....those boys are a hammering!
