i deleted my response because i MAY have misinterpreted this statement as your suggesting a bottom is in, as we are already worse that 1982. <<we may already be at 1982 levels. If not, we are close...and one could argue that we are much worse off today than in 1982.>> But on that note of will add this post on how the market RIGHT NOW, i mean RIGHT NOW is in a Ultra Pivotal Moment. I had 1137 as the point of no return for SPX, as it simply had no support all the way down to 724, and on 9/29/2008, we blew through 1137, closing at 1106. That was Game/Set/Match. So if(AND ONLY IF) we blow through 724 we have Big Trouble as where is the next solid support???? 495! i do not make calls, i am a support/resistance guy from way back. i do not draw a bunch of quiggly lines, i avoid E-Wave like the plague( Let it be be on RECORD Sir E-Wave Prechter is now calling for a MASSIVE/HUGE/ RALLY--he said so strong, it would be "Scary"-- he called that a week ago) So i will simply say,if we blow through 724SPX, Prechter is extremely wrong, and so is Barton Biggs, who went long bigtime in December, and is still calling for a MASSIVE RALLY. For the record a P/E of 15 SPX would takes us to BELOW 495.
