If the deployment is done well all of the supposed problems put together don't amount to a hill of beans. Cox is a quality provider. The biggest real speed problems come from the sluggishness of the backbone. A T-1 or E-1 or even T-3 to the head end just can't cut it, and they know that. BTW the power company here has its own private fiber network with over 300 miles of backbone close enough to tap and they are leasing excess capacity.
