>>When did I criticize a guy for laying down the facts? I just remember all ballots for issues in California having a pro and a contra side. It sounds like you are saying they only carry a pro side now.<<

it sounded like you were challenging the facts he laid out n his article by wanting to hear the other side. living in CA, i'm pretty confident the facts he laid out were pretty much it.

the state loves to spend money regardless of the environment that it is in. they call reduction in spending increases "cuts." they call expanding the time current legislatures can stay in office "term limits.'

then this...

"If voters rely solely on ballot arguments when deciding in May whether to pass a constitutional limit on state spending, they will miss the fact that the measure also would extend higher sales, vehicle and income taxes by up to two more years."

they omitted it. i know, it is hard to believe that government can be so unethical, but here we are.

yes, the private sector is unethical, too. but so is government. unfortunately, it is people who are unethical and therein lies the problem.

people don't care for others they same way they care for themselves - and this will cause any venture to ultimately collapse. the details will be different, but the end result will be the same.

imho, of course.
