From shortly after its inception, AQ has been about bringing America down. There was never any intent to bring down Yemen, Great Britain, or Spain. It was always about America. Yet, since 9/11, they haven't had one successful attack against us outside of Iraq, and even there, their successes were marginal and all their fighters were eventually killed by Americans. Now, Obama is their man. The war continues; but America is no longer fighting back. AQ is emboldened by having a weak American president and eventually is likely to act on it.
