It's a new philosophy of governance - you are in power but you have no actual power or responsibility if anything goes wrong. Then it was the other guys, for sure.

Gee I don't know. Maybe they trusted the liberals who ran these financial institutions to do the right thing, maybe they were duped like investors who believed Democrat Bernie Madoff was legit. Who knows, the point, is I would rather blame the people who actually perpetuated the fraud and cost everyone a fortune, instead a third party for not "watching" them close enough.

Why didn't Hillary Clinton or the other thousands of liberal Democrats who run N.Y. stop liberal Bernie Madoff from ripping off New Yorkers? And why didn't they sound the clarion call for action if their ideological brothers were acting so despicably?

I think Bernie Maddox should be held responsible for the actions of Bernie Maddox and Robert Rubin should be held responsible for the actions of Robert Rubin.
