Are you equating "Democrat" with liberal and "liberal" with financial misconduct? I don't think that is a useful classification scheme. Switch with any political term and do you feel that is true more often than not? I don't think it is correlated. Enron was visiting Cheney in secret meetings. Does that mean that Enron was well run because they hobnobbed with Republicans? BeBe Rebozo was a fine citizen because he was friends with Richard Nixon?

You seem to say that you aren't partisan but your exhibit 1 is a partisan exhibit.

So you've got a few democrats, and you are defining them as "liberals", AND you've got two folks who last worked there 10 and 12 years ago?

So really, you can't prove it's all the fault of the liberals. There were obviously some democrats involved. It's too bad democrats defended Fannie- but it's obviously not all about liberals. Now is it?

Exhibit- maybe it's all a republican plot (not really- I think it's just a freaking greed plot- and has little to do with party, except in so far as some folks don't want regulation- THAT is a problem):

Franklin Raines went to Harvard.

Ah, well, then, that certainly means that all of them, up and down the line, financial, governmental, you name it, anyone in a position of authority went to ivy league schools, is a liberal, and a secret socialist.
