Tell him one thing. If he is unusually talented, there is one chance in ten of becoming a well known working actor. If he works behind the scenes and is fairly adept, there is one chance in one of making a living. Theatre stage hands are paid well. Performers poorly. It is a hobby for all but a few. On the other hand pro card players and escorts for rich ladies do well. Choices in life cannot be based on idealism. Let empiricism be your guide. EC<:-}
