Citigroup is a monstrosity created in its current state wholly by the Democrat

Let's say everything you say is true. Let's put all of them in jail....now what?

There is another set of liberal ivy-leaguers right behind these guys. What do you propose to do to keep them from bringing down our entire economic system again in another 10 years?

The Bush administration wisely kept its distance? Is that some sort of code for "did nothing"?

While Greider is an interesting guy I'd hardly call him a liberal. He's got a political slant- as you do- and he's been wrong. And the more shrill and partisan people are, the more likely they are to be saying something wrong.

I think it's kind of sweet you think that just because it's in the Nation it would be trustworthy and true- do you feel that way about everything in the Nation, or just the stuff you want to be true? If I posted a global warming article from the Nation, would you be more likely to believe it? I take in to account who the writer is, and what they've said- regardless of where the article comes from.

It's cute you think Greider's pov is "fact"- but it's just one guy's pov- just like your pov is your pov.

The legislation "achieved" by Bill Clinton wasn't "achieved" just by democrats.

"In 1999, Bill Clinton signed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act sponsored by Republican Sen. Phil Gramm (now with the Swiss mega-bank UBS). Gramm-Leach-Bliley was supported by Clinton's then-Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin (now CEO of mega-bank Citicorp). Gramm-Leach-Bliley gutted Glass-Steagall and removed the 1933 firewall between commercial and investment banking."

Please take a look at this:

en.wikipedia.org

I'd like you to note just how many sweet little republicans voted for this "gutting" of Glass -Steagall. It's funny how someone could make this all about democrats. I wish I could agree with you, I really do- but looking at that graphic, I just don't know how I could think you and Greider are looking at all the facts.

Just how DO you explain away that graphic? Clinton had ESP powers controlling the minds of all the republican congressmen?

Note- just because all those republicans voted yea, and far less of them voted "nay" I do not find it necessary to just blame republicans for this. There is plenty of blame for both parties.
