My Grandparents lived earlier on the Eastern Slope, then moved to the Western Slope in fruit orchard country when I was young...Loved that old wood hanging-on-the-wall phone that rang various kinds of rings for various families....and several people evidently used to listen to other peoples's conversation.... You're right Ken...many people didn't have phones in those years...and that was in the 40's. Our young folks have lots to learn and need to realize just how fortunate they really are.....
