"Not missing any opportunity to make Rush Limbaugh the figurehead of the GOP"

It is no surprise that the Obama administration is making a conscious effort to push this idea. It is smart politics, Rush is very polarizing to many people and his more rabid followers are creepy. What amazes me is how the Republicans are embracing this idea. One of the most effective tactics that Rove practiced was to always try to define his opponents and get it to stick. Once you do that, you've greatly simplified your job of countering them. The Democrats pretty regularly suckered for this, it was one thing that Obama didn't do that paid dividends. But, now the Republicans are falling for it, and with enthusiasm.

If they can work Ann Coulter into the mix, it will hamstring the Republicans. That would split the party.
