"I didn't think it before but I do now... they may become virtually extinct. " If they don't do an abrupt change of direction, that certainly is in the cards. They are on the verge of losing their business supporters permanently. They did during the 2008 election, they didn't have the money edge they traditionally have. "It's past time for a third party... it could be something like the Eisenhower Republicans." That would be nice. There certainly is a shot for that if they succeed in splitting the party.
