RE: Second source on flash memory

Elmer,

Reconsideration and failure to find the story despite a thorough
web search convinces me I am wrong. The arrangement was, I believe,
an agreement in which Intel shared some limited technology (perhaps interface) with Micron so that Micron's devices would be compatible with Intels, but it fell far short I now believe of full transfer of Intel flash technology. At the time (a month or so ago) right after the 2x flash announcement, I thought it inexplicable, but now I think it was the first glimmer of an exit strategy. Micron would probably love any profitable product, and Intel's model has no room for low-margin goods unless they pave the way for microprocessor sales.
I'll keep looking and post it if I find what I was looking for. Sorry
if I confused things with my imprecision.
