Clean natural gas is almost as over rated as clean coal.
The combustion product is relatively clean - just greenhouse gas and water, but getting it out of the ground is - while not as messy as shaving the tops off mountains and dumping the leftovers in the nearest valley - no picnic if you happen to live nearby, as more and more of us do. Time to get serious about finding a replacement for oxidizing carbon as an energy source.

That is one of the wonders of govt. accounting. I remember when only the rich would pay AMT. And it was true when it first came out. But inflation goosed salaries while the AMT guideline held firm.
