I wouldn't count on cooling to be so dramatic as to cause widespread famine and depopulation. But it we'll have a cooler planet, despite the rise in GHGs. I wonder if there are any scientists trying to predict average global temperatures over the next 20-40 years with models that include BOTH solar cycles and GHG increase assumptions. Now that would be an interesting model to look at.
