It looks like the classic behavior of a party out of power with no designated and serious leader. This kind of picking back and forth at one another will go on until we get closer to the 2010 elections. That will bring some focus.

Steele certainly looks to have been a bad pick. Though the Churchill quote may well apply; he's just better than the alternatives.
