You're clueless.....the strategic importance of Iraq has to be factored into the decision to eliminate that tyrant....

Unless you are willing to take out every bad guy in charge of every oppressed nation on the face of the earth, you get to live with lots of "saddams"...

This is a stupid argument. Some we can do something about, others we can't. Furthermore, it is in our interest, as a nation, to do something about some and not others. Nobody said this was about benevolence. It is about protecting our own interests.

Saddam had already attempted to conquer Iran. He had already tried to conquer Saudi Arabia, which posed a national security threat to us. He had taken Kuwait until we ejected him. He had used WMD on his own people while they were begging us for our help. He was firing on our aircraft daily, routinely causing our forces to have to go on alert to deal with him, and he was killing 5,000 of his own people every month.

There is absolutely no doubt we did the right thing in taking him out and only the severely stupid can't see it. And that includes our current president.

PS: Don't try to sell me that you give a shit about saddam's subjects...every indication here points to the fact that you are a cold hearted sob...

It is a totally irrelevant point because the Iraq was was totally in American's self-interest. The rationale for our presence there is beyond question to those who understand the issues. The Left, largely comprised of idiots like yourself, could never see the benefits of it.

This war will be looked upon as a great success unless Obama blows it, which I sincerely hope he doesn't.
