I have a card in my laptop that I can get internet anywhere there is cell service. Bell, 75$ a month unlimited. No roaming fees in Canada only. Not exactly a rocket but not bad.

BTW, that $75 climbs to $100 with all the extra junk they add on.

Yup

I am travelling in the US right now and I use a Verizon cell 3G data gizmo.
My wife even gets it while I'm driving down the road.
$60us month.
I now Telus has it as well.
Also it works best up north as the Cad govt paid to wiFi the north a couple of years ago.

Just about exactly the info received saturday jm, the Telus deal recommended over the Hughes dish system, which is more for RVs ... cost roughly same, approx cad80/mo, both have limits on bandwidth usage ... cell gets good coverage, laptop like robnhood sounds like the way to go, full portability into buildings etc ... there were too many short people around to learn much but it sounds like cell is the best

dmm.to - thought about bidding, but could be cheaper tomorrow, PDAC being on still until wednesday, lol ... also Ecuador had some protectionist moves in the news, may be taken as sign of bad attitude

aos.v - volume ... stp.v - pause ... su.to - rewind ... no fast-forwards today

jer.v - this tiny little sawdust-and-plastic outfit in which TSL and i share an interest had news this morning, and an uptick, thin volume, have no idea if they'll survive but it sure is cheap, i stuck another little bid in
