the gun i was looking at they still had in stock, i went to the company website (looking for a cheaper price) ...."sorry sold out"

i wouldn't doubt if companies like cabelas bought up the remaining inventory...i had a great salesguy, i asked him 'how's biz?' (knowing the answer) he said, 'you have no idea how good our gun business is' i said, oh yes, i think i do..lol

re: "I'm all stocked up."

Same here, but it's only for defense (most likely from this government). I'm too old and too practical to go out and actively cause trouble. That's for the young people who have had their futures stolen from them. Given how brain dead the Fed, Treasury, and Congress are acting, civil unrest is starting to look inevitable. The only thing I can see stopping the madness at this point is if some Bin Laden type explodes a suitcase nuke in Washington DC and takes out most of the bass turds (politicians, lobbyists, bureaucrats) there.

Folks like GWB, Rush Limbaugh, John Thain, and the like have reason to be concerned.

In my foolish youth I bought an SAR-48 (Springfield Armory knock off of the Belgium FN-FAL, it cost $800 while the FN's were fetching $2K at the time) just before the assault rifle ban went in CA back in the late 1980's. I thought it would be a good investment. I don't think it has been. Never fired it. Wonder what its worth these days?
