The left knows that whoever shapes public understanding of what caused today’s economic crisis can shape America’s politics -- and its future -- for a great many years to come. Thus, they’re pushing the notion that too little government regulation was at fault.

Oh so true. That this meltdown happened so near the end of the Bush term, makes the argument even more interesting. But what I find especially obnoxious about the article is the set up once again between the left and the right. As one with feet in both camps (social liberal fiscal conservative), I just hate whoever tries to make this an us vrs them debate. We should be, especially now, working for America. If conservatives spend their energies blaming the other side - they lose my vote, perhaps forever.

We saw this yesterday in the Sebelius comment from Kansas republicans blaming Sebelius for failing to move health care forward. Huh?
