I read somewhere that taking an aspirin some 30 minutes prior to the SloNiacin will reduce/eliminate the flush. I also read in the Dr. Whitaker newsletter some months ago where he no longer recommends the Inositol Hexanicotinate. So, guess it's back to SloNiacin for me.

I'm curious about this, though. My Cholesterol went from 256 in August 2008 to 206 last month. During that time I took 3000mg of IH niacin plus 4 Cholestoff caplets daily. Prior to the 256 reading I had been taking just 2 cholestoff and 1000mg of SloNiacin. In February my HDL was 51 and LDL was 124. I'm half wondering if the cholestoff might not be ALL I need to take... skip the niacin altogether. I don't like it messing with my liver.
