Max, excellent logic in selecting a target. Looks like the chart shows an old consolidation area at about 450. That's for us optimists. <g>
A double top needs heaviest volume on the rightmost downleg. S&P has absolute monster volume there on the 10 year formation.

**Notation on the P/E source***: These come from Carl Swenlins excellent web-site deicisionpoint.com.
He has several charts of varied length covering the whole history of SPX500 P/E history, they are genuine and without BS.

i just heard a Talking WS Head pontificate on Bloomberg TV that if SPX went to 7-1 that would mean the 550 area.
This is via the USUAL WS BS P/E that they throw constantly at the public--they have used this deception for 20 years or so now.
Believe them at your OWN risk.
