we are not winning ANY of the battles. maybe a skirmish here and there but battles? NAME ONE!
nothing substantive has been righted: no end of illegal spying on citizens, no end of extradition, no restoration of habeus, no end of giveaways to AIG, no end of bombing weddings, NADA

SOTB,

Interesting post, as always. Still, I've got to stick with my more basic plan. They do not want four digit gold for they need no competitors for the dollar because they must sell a mountain of treasuries.

I think it is that simple. The government is actively selling gold, via their agents, and they will continue to do so and in force as gold creeps back up to four digits again.

I do not know when and how we will break this cycle, but I do not foresee my clowngressman having anything positive to contribute to that effort. Maybe I'm just too much a cynic, for I believe gold should have crossed a grand a long time ago (for example, last year when the bailouts started).
