"moving center" means Democrat-lite. Thats what McCain was. I don't think the voters knew what they were voting for or against in the last election. Many were voting on a new face. Being part of history - the first black President. Obama seems like a nice guy, let's give him a chance, I think many thought.

Limbaugh and Coulter represent a small p provincial perspective, ignorance, hatred and bigotry. Both appear to aspire to be mullah like spokespeople to their vision of a theocratic, conservative America. If not already, they will be marginalized by the Republican Party as extremists. Unfortunately, they both are lightening rods for the media, so they get lots of ink and air time.

"They need to wake up and move center to get back voters like me." What is the center but Obama light? In 1994 Rush was very influential in getting the Dems voted out of power in the Congress. Rush is loving it. Obama declining to the level of a talk show host is a huge victory for the right. Team Obama is in the process of self destructing. Cap and Trade this fall will be the final blow. There will be enough time to rally the public - not like the disgraceful panic stimulus bill. The process by which the stimulus bill was passed revealed the true character of Team Obama. The promised change was shown to be a lie. A big lie - just like the phoney numbers in his budget. The veil is off - the true character of Team Obama is now revealed.
