The fact that opinions can move so much from speeches, probably shows more about the fierceness of opinions, and maybe how good the speech is, than it says about the wisdom of the policies mentioned in the polls, or even durable opinions about the wisdom of those policies.

Any opinions that can shift so quickly are unlikely to be deeply held.
