Can you imagine? He backed down from Rush!!! "

It was a matter of 'when' and not 'if'. The Republicans have clasped themselves to Rush's sweaty, meaty bosom. And now the grip is even tighter.

I never realized Rush carried this much weight.....no pun intended.

I wonder if Rahm was planning on something like this?

He may have seen the writing in the cards. Rahm ain't stupid.

Regardless, Steele has been emasculated and marginalized.

No kidding. What an embarrassment.

Like him or not, his instincts are good in that he was trying to get the Republican party to engage a wider group. That is over now. Rush has been pushed up the ladder a bit more. I'd love to see Coulter there with him, but Palin might be a better choice.

Coulter is too smart to go there.....besides, she's a solo act.

Regardless, the Republicans are circling the drain with even more fervor. The ones who want an ideologically pure, and small, party have won. Many more 'victories' like this and they will be looking at 10% of the population.

It astounds me that they don't get it.
