Sarcasm toward a poster is not appropriate and should not be tolerated. It only drags the discussion down and adds no value. I prefer to discuss ideas and not posters. Obviously, you don't share that belief. I also think open third party sarcasm toward another poster is inappropriate and creates the same atmosphere. But, it seems to be tolerated here toward those who have a conservative history of posting on SI. I prefer to stick with a discussion of ideas. Apparently you don't share that desire. Fair enough.
