RE:"Let's just say you have no argument and leave it at that." I tried that with my parents growing up and it didn't work well. The point was your recollection of the DOW was a bit shy. But that's OK, most people would have said the same thing. Sad thing is the crook companies are in the DOW. Old, "safe" companies. Kind of like Polaroid. On the other hand, Wall Street and Stock Holders, 6-12 mos. anticipatory as they are...don't seem to be buying the "hope" thing. Nor the "change" thing. Except loose change.
