Despite all the extra funding it does not match the amount of LIQUIDITY that has evaporated from the system, (so we are still in a dis-inflationary environment). Actually a bit of inflation is pretty much the only cure for what ails the world's faltering economies right now. (Later-on however... excess liquidity will have to be withdrawn from the system to prevent the ravages of long-term system inflation. We are far from that now though.)
