Ultimately the fight could escalate to the streets in some locales. It won't be pretty, but Americans have shot Americans before. The good news is the panty waist leftists will be no match for bubba, so when it is over, we will still be free.

I live in a neighborhood which is pretty law-abiding. I doubt everyone in our neighborhood is a gun owner, but no doubt some are. And TX law has long recognized the right of people to use force to defend their homes and property even before the "castle" law was passed a couple years ago. Plus people showed a good bit of neighborly spirit working together to clear streets when they were filled with trees. I'd expect mostly the same if future problems were to arise.

Most places if you live in a neighborhood thats friendly and law abiding it will be that way regardless of what happens. If you live in a really bad area, it will still be bad if society breaks down and thats where people would really need to take their safety into their own hands for sure.

If things do get really bad, do you ever foresee a 'Seven Days in May' type senario?
