Actually, the price of ammo moved up quite a bit the past 3-years due to the escalating cost of copper and lead.

Lead is down about 75% the past 15-months, and Copper is down about 65%. The cost of ammo will drop, not increase.

I agree with your predictions, unfortunately. I guess it depends on how bad things really get.

As for that shop having so much stock, maybe you are right. After reading this thread I expect the shelves to be lightly stocked. There were a lot of people in there, but this particular place always seems busy.

We have a little hometown newspaper and it is amazing how many national trends can be gleaned well in advance. They did an interview with the police chief last year and he was blabbing about how our increase in crime (mostly petty stuff) is a direct result of our economy, and he predicted it would continue to increase.

I have plenty of ammo, but I really think you just need a couple of clips worth. The odds of needing more seem so small at the present time. Of course I could be wrong and maybe Mad Max days are coming <g>
