Yes, he was largely short on the way down, but he covered all his shorts several months ago, and leaning all longs since Oct/Nov last year. I dont think he can be labeled as perma bear. I seriously doubt he would ride the WFC from 27 down - but just want to point out that even a guy who has been VERY CORRECT since 2007, would still be too optimistic on the market turn, and underestimated the danger in financials. And your thought about all stocks he suggests to buy are dogs, could not be more far from observed facts, and it is, as you said, a Guess, and a very uninformed, uneducated Guess at that.
