Heck, if given the choice between Los Angeles and anywhere in Florida, I would still choose Los Angeles.

Can you drive two hours from the beach to the nearest ski resort? Didn't think so ...

You can't in California either. Do you know how long it took me to get out of the metro area when I moved? Hell, it takes a a plane a half hour to touch down once it gets over the LA metro area and starts making its final approach......AND it doesn't have to deal with freeway congestion.
