didnt say you but when you conflate tech wreck with eco fallout from 9/11 and stock market collapse of 02, the liberals by then were all over him. And as an aside, bush tax cuts did the trick for the most part in the short run at least and post 9/11 like now, balancing budgets became secondary. Where bush went wrong was Iraq. Politics on iraq aside, you just cant have a war that you dont pay for. Thats ultimately what brought down the economy post vietnam. Guns and Butter. Lets have no more war but if we do, we have to have a means to pay for at least part of it. Bush 41 recognized that in Gulf War where i think we made some money from the contributions. But where there are no contributions, how about war bonds???
