People failed to realize that the economy, housing, and the financial system had essentially washed out by the time FDR took office. The imbalances had been corrected or over-corrected by the time he took office. Real estate had been down 50% in 8 years by his inauguration.

It's going to take some time to fix the Bush train wreck of an economy he INHERITED Jimbo. The first things he did were the stimulus and get Strangelove working on the banks, but he TOLD us they were both going to take some time to work. Bush allowed a 9/11 on the WORLD economy by our own local greedheads, the blowback of which we have yet to feel.

He's got two years. Then, he owns it all. He's said that if it's not fixed by 2012, you should elect someone else.
