Yes, more hard times ahead, no doubt. But those who want serious change need a better platform than we told you so; they have to connect with the American electorate and show the voter a clear path from where he is stuck now to something better. That's where most of the right is losing the communications battle. They can preach small government, free markets, tax cuts and all their virtues, but a struggling homeowner can't see how that will help him this year or next.
