People always write off one or other of the two parties and they never do go away it seems. Next election would be a perfect time to start grass roots third party--not to win in 012 as Obama should win easily but to compete as a center party in 016. In the US a third party can compete only so long unless it supplants one of the two majors. Repubs are in serious danger, especially if dems move too far left by 016 leaving the middle wide open.
PS if perot wasnt nuts, he could have won. Today a Bloomberg would have a chance if there was an opening (there isnt). 8 years from now look at some of the young pols--moderate dems and repubs and indys and then think of them with some grey hair.
