I saw one of those Crime Reality shows last night that portrayed how an FBI agent infiltrated the Mafia.

He said all their transactions are conducted over food at Italian restaurants, which of course specialize in pasta dishes. He gained 90 pounds in the process. He was grossly over weight to begin with, which helped his Mafioso schtick.

Once they thought they discovered a wire on him, but it was his heart monitor they found. They overlooked the wire he actually had. This fellow worked four undercover cases at a time, very effectively. He was hands down the most effective under cover agent in the history of the FBI.

They showed old pictures of him when he was younger and not overweight. Quite a handsome young fellow, but gross and ugly as an undercover man.
