The problem that I see is if some person wanted to have you lose your permit all that would be necessary would be to find them alone in public and report that they were "showing" their weapon. Do this a few times over time and the renewal would be hard to get.

The idea that the list should be private is that others are not supposed to know/see that you are "concealed."
