In case you would have difficulties in understanding how it works, I would recommend to refer to a couple of Digital patents: compare how well their Dual Independent Bus fits descriptions in DEC patents #5148536 and 5125083 for example. Also note that so-called "new" Intel's conditional MOVe instruction (IMOVE) is described exactly in the same terms in DEC patent # 5568624. Look also at branch prediction mechanism (DEC 5394529), and register renaming details (DEC 5197132).
