OK, I'll buy that. It may be unnecessary, because they can always bring "legal tender" laws to bear on those that try to actually circulate gold and silver coins instead of dollars in the black market. I saw an article not too long ago about a company that made gold coins for circulation. The Fed raided them and confiscated everything. What I don't understand is how bartering groups get around legal tender laws, those that use a circulating paper currency from good and services.
