I know that some payroll deductions are being phased out at that level of income but i dont think it turn 39% rate into 54%. Truth is though that doing this might very well be counterproductive and may hurt housing and charities. Many dems will be against it if in excess. Usually anything that hurts housing and charitable contributions fails or is way watered down. If you have specifics here, please share.

When the additional tax revenue ends up being lower than expected, the "rest of us" will be stuck with the bill.

I've sent an email to Obama saying that everyone is rich in The OC.....watch reruns......and that they should be taxed more.
