As I said, I don't like the use of fear to pass legislation. You are correct in saying Obama and the Dems did that for the recovery act. Shame on them.

I think it is also correct for me to point out we had 8 years of Bush doing the exact same thing. He sold us the Iraq war based on his WMD scare tactics. It certainly worked on me. I remember being for the war before I was against it. In fact, Bush took obfuscation to a whole new level. Bush hid so many things, he made a science of it. Keeping the costs of the wars off the budget books is just one example of it.

So I agree, I don't like these tactics. However, I believe I was outraged about those tactics long before you were. I don't discriminate between GOP and Dem on this. Apparently, you only believe scare tactics are wrong when it is a Dem doing it. So forgive me, if your outrage is ringing a little hollow to me.
