Being brainwashed means you've bought into some dogma or ideology. Letting numbers tell the story means you aren't swayed by ideology. You and the GOP are convinced that the majority of the people agree with your positions. However, I have just proved that the polls say the majority do not agree with the GOP. It's pretty much that simple. No brainwashing to it. My point was that the GOP will not regain power until they can appeal to a majority. Right now, they are very far from it.
